My DIY Nelson Pass preamplifier, made in 2001. Sold to my friend Jens Gregersen around 2002. Still proud of seeing those pictures in the Pass DIY Gallery. The url to the schematic is dead and I use another e-mail now. Here's the schematic:
Rebuilt my 2003 LM3875 Gainclone amplifier. Galaxy enclosure with wooden side plates. Thule buttons. Two single secondary transformers in parallel, 18V. Audiosector PSU boards with 2 x 10.000uF supply caps. 220uF caps on amplifier boards. Approximately 2 x 40 watts.
Here's a nice multi-input DAC. I use it at my desktop for laptop (USB), Squeezebox Classic (coxial) and Argon DAB radio adapter (optical). Based on TDA1315 and TDA1305. Does its job good. More pictures here.
Here's one more 5V power supply for Squeezebox Touch.
Very simple circuit based on LM350 regulator (3A). Built on AudioSector generic PSU board.
50VA 2x12V transformer, MUR420 rectifier diodes. NOS Wicon 1000uf at the output. Bypass caps are MKT1822. Enclosure is Galaxy GX148, which also works as heatsink for the regulator.
The Rotel RQ-970BX phono amp was modified after the article by Andy Grove in 'Hi-Fi World' Nov. 1994. I use LME49710 op-amps in input stage and OPA627 in output stage. Also replaced all resistors with Dale CMF55. MUR860 rectifiers, silver wire, new enclosure. More pictures: https://picasaweb.google.com/xl1200cc/ModifiedRotelRIAA
Made this High Speed Class A headphone amplifier, based on a 1980 circuit published in Danish magazine 'High Fidelity'. Thanks to Max Jens Jensen for designing and fabricating the PCB.
Details: MU-metal around toroid, U860 diodes, ROE capacitors, BG Nx input caps, PRP and Mills resistors, Elna Silmic, ERO MKP 1837, gold plated signal wire, pure silver wire for PSU and output, Neutriks 1/4" jack socket, Galaxy enclosure. More pictures.
LM317 5v PSU for my Squeezebox Touch. Built on the AudioSector generic PSU board (positive side).
2 x 9V transformer, ROE 4700uf, Siemens Sikorel, ERO MKP1837, Elna Silmic II, Dale resistors. Built in an old Camera PSU enclosure. Makes the SB Touch shine. More pictures.
Have built this little preamplifier for my brother to go with the NAP-140 clone. Current boosted diamond buffer preamplifier, with NE5532 phono riaa. Sounds really good. Max Jens Jensen fabricated the beautiful ebony wood knobs. More pictures.
Naim NAP-140 clone. Dual mono, 400VA transformer, 40.000uf per channel. Avondale Audio rectifier boards. Speaker protection boards. Built in an old Peter Allpass enclosure, dampened with bitumen. Various quality components, pure silver wire. My brother uses this amp now. More pictures here: http://picasaweb.google.dk/xl1200cc/NAP140Clone
